Hannah Hannah Van Dinter of Vancouver has been selected to participate in Gonzaga University's Comprehensive Leadership Program (CLP) newest student cohort from the undergraduate class of 2016. After a selective admissions process that evaluated 120 applicants, the class was established with forty-two students, from around the country and world. This group, with its numerous talents and wealth of experiences, will continue the tradition of studying leadership imbued with an intellectual and ethical fervor for the common good in an interdisciplinary, academic setting.

The honors of the class of 2016 are extensive as musicians, athletes, student government leaders and academic scholars abound. These accomplished men and women went beyond personal achievements and served their communities with demonstrated time and commitment. The breadth of arenas served will allow for excellent connections within their leadership growth.

This class encompasses a wide geographic swath spanning from Southeast Asia to the Rocky Mountains as it includes students from Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Thailand and Washington.

In the academic arena the class boasts an average high school GPA of 3.89. Now, they seek to continue their academic endeavors in a diverse array of fields. The prospective majors represent Gonzaga's College of Arts and Sciences, School of Business, School of Education, and School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Those majors include Art, Biochemistry, Biology, Business Administration, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, Communications, Computer Science, Engineering Management, English, International Relations, Journalism, Marketing, Math, Mechanical Engineering, Nursing, Political Science, Psychology and Public Relations. The interplay between their academic undertakings and leadership development promises to provide them with further insight and skills to utilize in their extracurricular endeavors at Gonzaga and their professional careers upon graduation.

The impressive backgrounds and leadership positions of this class are only the starting point of their years at Gonzaga and their careers to come. Over the next three years in this leadership studies program, students will be challenged in new ways to understand themselves, their world, and their role in being leaders for others.
